Till this very moment, this is my manifestation to improve my focus zones. I liked to share them with you.
1- Reading books is a miracle. If you’re not in the mood of anything, grab a book, read a few pages, I can bet you will feel a bit changed or without any emphasis more alert of what is happening to you.
2- Plz care about structuring a positive voice in your mind, alongside all the other voices. By the word “positive” I mean “optimistic”. A voice that motivates you and you are bound to listen to it. I know it is difficult, but you need a journey to find your voice.
How can we find our voice? (I should read and write about this topic)
3- Push yourself for more. Not in a way to makes you more worried and stressed, but in a way that makes you more focused. Something the only thing that is needed is a push.
4- Make a checklist for yourself, and empty your mind in it. Then choose the three most important ones and focus on their progress. You can tackle some others meanwhile if it doesn’t make you stressed, but my suggestion is 3 tasks.
5- Don’t overthink about choosing a task, just choose and try to work on its progress. Maybe your time (one box of time, or even more boxes) won’t be enough to finish that specific. So I recommend focusing on its progress rather then finishing. Because continuity will keep you joyful but the thought of finishing can make you stressed.
6- Divide your time into boxes and focus on fulfilling every box. If you look into your time as boxes, even ticking one or more will make you feel a sense of accomplishment. I recommend 15 min for each box.
7- Work on conditioning your mind. (behaviorism) Studying in specific places, in which you don’t do anything else. Teach your mind when to focus and when it doesn’t.
8- Sometimes you need to lower your speed and rest your mind a bit. You don’t need to switch off your focus, just get a bit cozy and more comfortable. You can even have quick reviews of what you have read.
9- Don’t look for motivation outside. Anything you need is inside of you. Your toolkit is yourself. Jung has mentioned the same idea in another way:
Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. (Carl Jung)
10- Don’t make any expectations for your mind. If you choose anything specific as a reward, after finishing the task you have to fulfill its wish but if you don’t you can surprise yourself.
11- 4 Triple rules:
These rules with help you to get back your focus and energy,
- Look around: Find sth with noticeable and describable. Then try to focus on it. By focusing on one thing you can get rid of your thought spirals.
- Appreciation: Try to use your senses to remember or see the things you’re so thankful to have them.
- Use your muscles (PMR): breathing, heartbeat, and somatic ones, and then try to relax them. Shifting your focus to your breathing really helps.
- Body: Focus on one of your specific muscles and try to tense and relax it.
12- Make close relationships. The ones that help you to find yourself and push yourself to grow. The ones that you can open up to them and be yourself.
13- Be careful how you look into the world. When your filters are corrupted, you’re corrupted. Your senses are the sources of information that provide you with needed knowledge from the outside. Disinformation will not do you any good in your interpretation of the world.
14- Writing will make your mind disciplined. If you care about categorizing your thoughts and being creative, it’s impossible to keep up working without journaling. For me, the explicit signs of change started after one year. It takes time but it’s totally worth doing it.
15- Be a pragmatist. Instead of thinking of how you want to take an action, try to learn in the process of testing. As long as you haven’t got the gut to put your mindset into action, you won’t be able to trust them that they’re functional or not.
16- Instrumental Music can be helpful. I recommend piano pieces more.
17- Don’t feed your desires right away.Consumption with make them grow. Working on your self-control is the key that can make the difference between your approach and others.
18- Patience is the one who can bring you victory. So test and fail until you find your way towards something. If you keep searching, you will break the resistance of the universe to give you what you will.
