Practical Wisdom – Part1: Bits of Self-reflection

I tried to gather my ideas together to come up with sentences that are helpful. I call them “Practical Wisdom” because I believe they can be put to work if I try my best.

  1. We’re prone to bad habits, don’t make any.
  2. Your personality and your habits are interlinked. The more you repeat something, the more it will become a part of you.
  3. Be concise about what you want because there is a higher possibility of acting upon something you know more details about.
  4. Don’t try to be against the adversity of the universe. Try to get some help.
  5. You need self-reflection to resolve your problem.
  6. The problems of your close people at the first step and then your society’s issues will become a part of you, so you’d better care about them and look at them as yours instead of neglect and denial.
  7. Try to be an understanding person for your family and friends.
  8. They call em “painkillers” but I hope they’re just killing the pain. Because with every removed feeling, part of your “self” is diminished.
  9. The variety of feelings you feel shows how human you can be. The more you feel, the bigger you grasp “humanity” and its failures as a unification of experience and the “self”.
  10. You never fully understand the other one, but you can try.
  11. Dismantle your thoughts until they become you and you become them.
  12. Be cautious about who you’re friends with because your choices on this topic can be detrimental.
  13.  Be relentless about something you’re reluctant about.
  14. The purpose of life is how much you attain growth through your experiences and how much you refine yourself (your character, beliefs, persona, and briefly the “self”) after passing every failure.
  15. Accumulation ends up procrastination and as they grow together, you will be entangled in your own trap of negative feelings and spiraling thoughts.
  16. The more you identify your needs, the more you can deal with them.
  17. Growth requires change and it often comes with a degree of discomfort(pain).
  18. You are your thoughts and your thoughts are you.
  19. The past hasn’t gone. It’s your mind-living narrative that you look into life with.
  20. We can divide feelings based on productivity: negative and positive But you cannot put stickers on feelings as negative or positive, bad or good based on their nature.
  21. Infiltration with people and society helps you to grow and repair. So don’t just live in your internal world. Try to get out of it sometimes.
  22. Don’t underscore the worth and influence of repetition.
  23. Transitional morphing is accompanied by bowls of pain. By passing each phase, things get harder.
  24. No one has a promising future as long as they haven’t tried.
  25. Don’t magnify people’s achievements.
  26. The people you envy, they envy you back.
  27. You don’t need interrogation, just try to have good self-closure.
  28. Just try to look into your friend’s achievements as yours, and then your world starts to transcend and transform.
  29. The thingy you call it reality, you have been fed up with it your whole childhood. So you’d better redescribe.
  30. Jealousy and envy can be disruptive and destructive. Comparison can be killing as mental blocks and barriers are.
  31. Analyzing our relationships helps you to think about your behaviors much more.
  32. Each person has their logic.
  33. Complexity is good because it shows flexibility
  34. Assimilation is the first step to internalization.
  35. Rebuild your personality status brick by brick, but how the hell do I do that?
  36. Looking for answers inside of yourself.
  37. Succession (repetition) is important because it shows your devotion.
  38.  Don’t let the environment prevail on you, and if it does, try to lessen its effect.
  39. Be patient and the truth will unfold/reveal itself to you. (Patience always works.)
  40. Deliberate practice demands pain but it will give you the blessing of structural learning in return.
  41. It may seem masochistic but how we can pleasure ourselves with pain?
  42. If you get satisfied with your life then it is almost finished.
  43. The sprout of growth comes from experiencing different feelings.
  44. Don’t fake your reality for anyone’s acceptance
  45. Most people are in between, they change in the course of life until they find their stable mood. We are a mixture of good and bad, it’s important which one we choose to be fed up with.
  46. Kiss of the death can be the quickest feeling of ease that is capable of fulfilling a human with the sense of abandonment from physical pain and suffering.
  47. Your belief is valuable so you need to be careful where you put it and to whom.
  48. Stories are wild creatures, if you learn to read and narrate them well, and most importantly if you understand their nature, you will be able to live a worth reading life.
  49. Life is in the eyes. Be careful what you watch and who you look up to.
  50. Why should we compare ourselves when we know we must pay for it from our self-worthiness?
  51. Stress is all about feeding your thinking with the things you shouldn’t normally do. So try to “don’t” instead of “do”.
  52. There is no norm as long as we haven’t described it for ourselves. So if you call yourself mediocre, weak, or even resistant, you’d better notice this is your description of yourself. So why don’t you do your best to find something that has the potential to work your way to it?
  53. The words are not just the source of information. They have a long history. There is a “why” to every word and sentence you articulate. Ask yourself  “why” to choose them more wisely.
  54. Choosing is not the most difficult one, taking it into action is the one.
  55. You’re not alone, even if you think you’re. You are always with you; you just have denied yourself for so long that you can’t feel yourself and your feelings anymore.
  56. There is no need to deny as long as you have such a strong weapon (or I’d better call it a “tool”) as writing. Writing makes everything easier.
  57. Habits are you and you’re your habits. If you keep the good ones and break the bad ones, every day you’ll become one step closer to your better self. (Don’t say “best version of yourself” because there is no such thing as we define it. The best is infinite as you’re)
  58. Perfectionism is not a bad thing. It turns out to be bad because of your lack of control and experience.
  59. Self-reflection is like self mirroring. Imagine you’re looking into a mirror and conversing with yourself. Please be kind and patient otherwise it won’t work.
  60. If you don’t look into life as a process, you’ll remain always sad and not content.
  61. Life is not a contract to be stressed about every detail. Life is a gift, think of it carefully, but don’t overthink.
  62. Don’t be lost in translation. Try to learn how you can express yourself otherwise, you’ll be judged.
  63. If you feel bored, there is nothing wrong with you. Boredom is the sign that shows your mind is looking for creativity and some drops of wisdom. Instead of shutting it down with binge-scrolling, enlighten it with binge-reading.
  64. The center of focus is your eyes. You can do laser focus like Superman if you care about your eyes. Don’t watch anything you find, Be a bit choosy and selective.
  65. Hedonism is not gonna make you happy, because there is always something you don’t have it and you want it badly.
  66. Feeding your desires, just make trolls out of them. Try to be the master rather than the slave.
  67. Comparison could be possible if all the humans had the same status.
  68. Emotional bonds are tricky things. Be careful who you choose to bond with. Because you may come to your sense after a while and don’t recognize yourself who you are?
  69. Sometimes it’s needed to lie down and do nothing.
  70. At least for yourself don’t be an actor. The only thing that can truly help you to understand yourself is to find you who you are. If you look for the answer you may find one, but if you don’t, you may be lost forever.
  71. Don’t underestimate the power that is hidden in words. The more you repeat them, the more you see their signs in your life.
  72. Happiness is not summarized in the future. Happiness is you, in the present moment, trying to deal with yourself.
  73. Don’t look for results, look out for processes that can give you the promise of achieving what you want.
  74. Pain is inevitable, the more you escape from it, the more it gets stronger.
  75. Anything you do, don’t mess with your brain. You need it more than it needs you.
  76. The more you read, the more you discover your ignorance.
  77. Independence comes from the inner state of your mind, not from the money you make.
  78. Humbleness is all about accepting others as best as you can.
  79. You can use your breathing as a way of refocusing.
  80. When you’re in pain, don’t cheat with it, use your pain to find your path. If you ignore the alarms, there will be a day you have to face the reality. It’s better to drink the salt water sip by sip instead of getting stuck in a stormy sea.
